Modelling and Simulation of Greenhouse Climate Using Dymola
نویسندگان
چکیده
This paper deals with the modelling and simulation of greenhouse climate. The obtaining of greenhouse production models (climate, crop development, etc.) is a subject of large interest nowadays, as these models can be used for simulation, control and production optimization purposes. A greenhouse constitutes a complex dynamical system, which is described in this paper using the object-oriented and equation-based declarative modelling language Dymola. A systematic procedure has been followed to allow the development and testing of different submodels, before connecting them to generate the complete greenhouse model. Comparison results between the real and simulated greenhouse are provided. Copyright © 2002 IFAC

Agricultural crop growth modelling: a tool for dealing with the threat of climate change affecting food security (case study for greenhouse tomato)
Climate change and essentiality of the food security have motived scientists to try innovative approaches, among which, crop growth models can help to predict crop yield. In order to simulate tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) growth, phenological characteristics of a short-life variety of tomato were assessed. Phenologic characteristics included leaf area index (LAI), specific leaf area (S...
متن کاملSimulation of climate change in Iran during 2071-2100 using PRECIS regional climate modelling system
Parameters such as future precipitation, temperature, snowfall, and runoff were modeled using PRECIS regionalclimate modeling system in Iran with the horizontal resolutions of 0.44×0.44°C in latitude and longitude under SRESA2 and B2 scenarios. The dataset was based on HadAM3p during the periods of 1961-1990 and 2071-2100. Theoverall precipitation error of the model in the period of 1961-1990 w...
متن کاملMulti-Domain Modelling - An Advantage In Modelling, Simulation And Control Education
The paper deals with an important aspect of continuous systems modelling and simulation approaches, with possibilities for multi-domain modelling. The traditional approach is based on block oriented schemes in which causal relations play an important role. However this causality is artificially generated in order to fulfil appropriate conditions for simulation on conventional sequential compute...
متن کاملFrom Physical Modeling to Real-Time Simulation : Feed back on the use of Modelica in the engine control development toolchain
This article provides feedback from using Modelica in the "System Modelling" area, involving modelling (behavioural and dynamic modelling), direct simulations, control and real-time applications. The described work was undertaken within three Europeans projects: Eurosyslib, Modelisar and Open Prod. Our aims are to attest Modelica language in an overall model of a vehicle consisting of vehicle d...
متن کاملDynamic Optimization of Energy Supply Systems with Modelica Models
The paper describes a design tool for decentralised energy supply by preferable use of renewable energy. The powerful modelling language Modelica has been used to develop a model library for input data generation and/or predicting and modelling the main parts of the energy supply system for the simulation tool Dymola. An optimal control design using the well suited Dymola model in connection wi...
